On 21st September 2023, as a member of the Quality Standards Subcommittee of the Pakistan Mental Health Coalition (PMHC), Taskeen Health Initiative co-organized and participated in the stakeholder event focused on developing Ethical Standards for Mental Health Professionals. This inclusive gathering brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, from the Head of Vitol Foundation Sarah Jeffrey, Senator Dr. Karim Khawaja of the Sindh Mental Health Authority to individuals with lived experiences. Dr. Taha hosted a session on discussing the way forward for regulating mental health services in Pakistan. The event also featured a profound discussion and feedback session on the ethical principles document drafted by the Quality Standards Subcommittee, marking a significant stride towards promoting the best practices in mental health care and ensuring a comprehensive, ethical framework for professionals in the field.
