Taskeen’s Chairperson, Mr. Irfan Mustafa, met with President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, on the 18th of October, 2023 to discuss the mental health landscape of Pakistan.
Both the individuals share a keen interest in strengthening the mental health cause and deliberated the need for a national mental health helpline to provide support to the people of Pakistan. Furthermore, they had a discussion about the need for the nationwide implementation of suicide decriminalization, so that individuals who are suffering can be provided the support they need.
