On September 23rd, Javeria Bano, one of Taskeen’s psychologists, had the honor of speaking at an event organized by Ex-First Lady Samina Alvi in collaboration with Deaf Reach School. The gathering aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and its profound psychological and emotional effects on survivors, sufferers, and caregivers. A sign language interpreter was present to facilitate communication throughout the event. During the session, our psychologist addressed the critical mental health challenges faced by those impacted by breast cancer, shedding light on the importance of emotional support and resilience throughout their journey. The discussion emphasized the essential role of mental health in coping with illness, recovery, and caregiving, underscoring Taskeen’s commitment to holistic mental well-being.
