Taskeen Health Initiative successfully held a 3-day (24-hour) training session for psychologists from 13th to 15th November 2024 at the Ramada Creek Hotel in Karachi. The training was attended by five female psychologists representing the Urban Cohesion Hubs (UCHs) in Karachi, Quetta, Chaman, and Peshawar.
The program introduced psychologists to the Psycho-social Empowerment and Community Engagement (PEACE) program and its multi-tiered mental health support model. The training focused on enhancing clinical skills, case formulation, and supervisory techniques to ensure quality care for referred individuals and effective mentorship for Community Wellbeing Mentors (CWMs).
Led by Dr. Salma Siddiqui, clinical consultant for the PEACE program, and facilitated by Taskeen, the sessions offered hands-on learning opportunities through case discussions and role-plays.
