GCC WINGS Design Sprint: A Collaborative Session by Taskeen & AKU-HSA to Develop the WINGS Curriculum and Tools

On January 20th and 21st, Taskeen Health Initiative, in collaboration with Aga Khan University – Community Health Services (AKU-CHS) and Health Services Academy (HSA), participated in the GCC WINGS Program Design Sprint. This two-day session focused on developing and reviewing the curriculum and tools for the WINGS Program, an initiative funded by Grand Challenges Canada (GCC).

The WINGS program integrates the WHO School Mental Health and UNICEF Life Skills frameworks to create a sustainable school mental health model using task-shifting and digital tools. It includes psychoeducation workshops for teachers and parents, along with training for School Wellbeing Mentors (SWMs) to conduct mental health screenings and life skills education for adolescents. The program aims to improve stress management, relationship-building, and overall mental well-being among students and their families.
