Taskeen & HSA Team Meets FDE Under its WINGS Program

On 11th March 2025, as part of the Wellbeing Initiative for Nurturing Generations through Schools (WINGS) program, the Taskeen team, alongside its research partners from the Health Services Academy (HSA), visited the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in Islamabad, to discuss the potential implementation of the WINGS program in FDE-affiliated schools. The meeting aimed to introduce the program to the FDE team and establish a consensus on conducting preliminary assessment visits.

During the discussion, the Taskeen team presented a comprehensive overview of the WINGS program, outlining its objectives, methodology, and potential impact on students, teachers, and parents. The FDE team responded positively to the initiative and recommended six schools for the preliminary assessment visits to evaluate the program’s feasibility. Further discussions focused on strategies to maximize student participation through incentives, leveraging existing communication channels, and ensuring efficient data collection through consent forms. These discussions laid the groundwork for a collaborative effort to integrate the WINGS program into FDE-affiliated schools, fostering mental well-being in educational settings.
