As part of the Wellbeing Initiative for Nurturing Generations through School (WINGS) program, the Taskeen Community team visited three schools, operational under Al-Furqan Welfare Organization, between 28th April and 7th May, located in Azam Basti, Old Sabzi Mandi, and Gulistan-e-Jauhar. These visits were carried out to understand whether the WINGS program could be a good fit for these school communities.
During the visits, the team had meaningful conversations with school staff and leadership, which helped build connections and trust. They also got a clearer picture of each school’s environment, needs, and the challenges students and teachers face. These learnings will help shape the next steps of the WINGS program, so it can be introduced in a way that truly supports students’ mental well-being and fits the realities of each school.
