Discussing Mental Health at the NJV Learning Festival 2024 NJVLF2024

Taskeen participated in an interactive and informative conversation at the NJV Learning Festival 2024, around the ‘Importance of Mental Health & Wellbeing in the Education Sector”. Featuring prominent voices in the mental health sector, the discussion shed light on the crucial intersection of mental health and education.

Nuvera Mukaty, a clinical psychologist and program manager – community mental health, represented Taskeen. She was joined by Durriya Anis, Associate Clinical Psychologist, Care for Health and Prof.

Dr. Qudsia Tariq, Ex Chairperson, Dept of Psyche, Karachi University. The session was moderated by Nawal Nasir, a clinical psychologist from Savaira, a division of the Soorty Foundation. The panel delved into various dimensions of mental health within educational settings, fostering a robust dialogue aimed at advocating for improved mental health initiatives. The discussion concluded with queries from the audience, allowing teachers, parents and students to voice their concerns and address queries related to mental health and wellbeing.
