We humans, have a vulnerable soul, we have a heart loaded with emotions, we have a mind loaded with thoughts, we have a body that functions to survive yet we have pain which is exuding to be felt, we have scars that are waiting to fade away and we have wounds which are waiting to be healed.
But, the million dollar question is how can we be healed?
Firstly, it’s important to know what you are yearning to heal from. It’s important to acknowledge the heart breaks of your past in order to make progress.
You cannot think you can heal from any pain, while you avoid it.
You know how our body works? We get hurt, we bleed, the wound swells, we feel the pain, we bear, then, it starts to move back, the bleeding stops, the swelling lessens, the pain decreases but the marks stay, they stay longer than the pain and they always remind us about it, they do stay longer but at one moment, every scar is healed, every mark is covered, and now when you get the same injury again, you feel lesser pain, you get stronger.
Same is how our soul does, it’s more sensitive, but it heals by gentle acknowledgement, recovery of the memories, acceptance of the failure, tears for the loss, regret over the actions, feeling whatever emotion you’re getting in your head and allowing it to be your medicine.
But, our soul doesn’t come with a clock like our biology, we all vary and so does our time of healing. There is no timeline for healing. It may take months, it may take years, it may come back when any memory hits you again, it may come back no matter how far you’ve come. And that’s how it actually works, you can’t remove it from your life.
Being a healer isn’t easy when your own soul is hurt, you start looking up to people and seek your cure. Some would get you a sneak peek within and leave for sometime, some would get back when things don’t vibe on the same scale.
The bruises that are physical are less harmful than the spiritual ones.
You can see blood sprouting from a scratch, you can see the clots being formed by fibrin, you can see the marks getting lighter day by day.
However, the spiritual marks can’t be seen with naked eyes, for that, you need to have eyes on your inner side.
Hearing things like,
- “It’s been long, get over with it already”
- “You need to move on, there is more to life”
- “It happens with everyone, forget it now”.
I just want all of you to know that healing doesn’t come with a timeline sweetie, if only the soul knew how deep are its cuts, it could put a band-aid on it. It might take days, it might take years, it might evade completely and return back suddenly, the healing of the soul doesn’t come with a schedule. And it pretty much sucks to be standing at the same point you thought you had moved away from.
So, the best thing you can do for it is let it work on its own and let others do the same as well.
It’s gonna be hard, but eventually and gradually, with the help of faith, no matter how deep the wound, it will be filled, no matter how long it takes, you will be Healed.
And healing comes with a price but it surely will be worth it.
