In such a situation, the loss of a loved one can result in significant distress for those affected.

Everyone will manage the loss of a loved one differently and their ability to recover will depend on many factors; the circumstances of the loss, the available support from friends & family, the nature of the relationship with the deceased, religious or cultural practices and the individual’s coping skills. Therefore, it is important to take the time and space to properly come to terms with the loss we have experienced, and the distress caused by the experience.
