Two MOUs have been signed in the month of June 2023 in partnership with NUST and STMU to establish a Trainee Psychologist Program with a cadre of final-year clinical psychology students. A comprehensive training program has been developed in collaboration with mental health experts from both universities and Taskeen to carve out a 6-month long training program which provides practical experience and professional development opportunities to clinical psychology students. The program is designed to provide the trainee psychologists with hands-on training and supervision in online/telephonic mental health sessions and learning of the necessary competencies required in the professional mental health field by connecting them to Taskeen’s beneficiaries and providing them with basic mental health consultancy and/or referring them to Taskeen psychologists for further psychotherapeutic consultancy.
