In early March, the Taskeen team visited the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center in Karachi, following an invitation from the Savaira team. We were deeply grateful for this opportunity and impressed by Savaira’s commitment to mental health awareness and equitable treatment access. Our discussion centered on integrating mental health awareness activities into healthcare institutions. During the tour, we encountered exceptional facilities and a highly trained and compassionate staff dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for patients. This experience emphasized the critical importance of inclusive and empathetic care, especially for individuals from lower-middle socioeconomic backgrounds.
