Discussion Held among Stakeholders at Health Services Academy Islamabad to Strengthen WINGS Implementation in FDE Schools

On 23rd May 2025 Taskeen, in collaboration with our research partners at the Health Services Academy (HSA) Islamabad, successfully hosted a User Advisory Council (UAC) meeting under the WINGS Program. The session was led by the Taskeen team.

The WINGS Program is a school based mental health initiative aimed at improving the emotional well-being of adolescents in Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) schools. The program focuses on equipping students, parents and educators with the tools and support systems needed to build mental resilience and navigate emotional challenges.

The UAC brought together teachers and principals from selected FDE schools to share their valuable insights, suggestions, and concerns regarding the program’s implementation. The discussion focused on the feasibility of implementing mental health interventions in schools, identified potential challenges and gathered recommendations for program improvement, including strategies to enhance parental involvement. The session fostered open dialogue and collaboration, reflecting our commitment to designing contextually grounded and practical mental health solutions for schools.

We extend our sincere thanks to all the educators who joined us and to our partners at HSA for their continued support and collaboration.
