In collaboration with Taskeen, Special Olympics Pakistan held 2 Strong Minds screening at the ACELP Institute of Child Development in Karachi on the 14th and 21st of May, where athletes took part in mental wellness screenings. The event was led by Dr. Mahrukh Iftikhar, Clinical Director, and supported by dedicated volunteers from IPP Bahria University, who facilitated the screenings for the participating athletes.
Strong Minds is part of the Healthy Athletes program and offers an engaging, hands-on learning experience focused on mental health and emotional well-being for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The aim is to help athletes develop healthy coping mechanisms, manage stress and anxiety, and build emotional resilience and confidence.
