Taskeen Health Initiative, as a co-secretariat of the Pakistan Mental Health Coalition (PMHC), with British Asian Trust, launched a Code of Conduct for Mental Health Professionals, which the Provincial Health Minister of Sindh has officially endorsed.

Building on this achievement, Taskeen and BAT co-organized a consultative meeting with the Sindh Healthcare Commission, Sindh Health Ministry, Sindh Mental Health Authority, and other key stakeholders for the development of Minimum Standards of Mental Healthcare in Sindh. These standards will define parameters of quality care for psychiatric, psychological, and substance use treatment and rehabilitation services across both inpatient and outpatient facilities.

The meeting brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including leading experts from public and private teaching hospitals, academic institutions, representatives from the Department of Health, Anti-Narcotics Force, and Social Welfare Department.
