During October 2025, Taskeen successfully conducted a three-day School Wellbeing Mentor (SWM) training for selected teachers in Karachi and Islamabad.

A total of 36 School Wellbeing Mentors were trained to serve as lay counsellors, and were equipped with basic counselling techniques and practical strategies to provide psychosocial support to students as part of the WINGS: School Mental Health Program.
Over a three-day training, the School Wellbeing Mentors (SWMs) were prepared to reliably deliver early, preventive mental health support by equipping teachers with skills to build resilience, empathy, and healthier school communities. The training provided exact guidance on what to say, ask, and model; set clear learning objectives for every session; offered step-by-step activities (exercises, discussions, and role-plays); included recommended timings per session and a list of necessary materials; summarized key outcomes to reinforce learning; and shared trainer notes highlighting best practices and cultural sensitivity.
The event concluded on an encouraging note, with teachers expressing motivation and readiness to take on their new roles as School Wellbeing Mentors. It was a successful event marked by meaningful discussions, collaboration, and shared learning, a strong step forward in promoting student wellbeing across schools in Karachi and Islamabad.
