On 25th November 2025, Taskeen as part of the Pakistan Mental Health Coalition (PMHC), convened its 4th General Body Meeting, centred on the theme “Perspectives on Youth Mental Health.” The event brought together over 30 organisations from across Pakistan, along with individual PMHC members, including practitioners, researchers, civil society partners, and youth facilitators. During structured sharing circles and interactive sessions, young participants spoke openly about the everyday challenges that hinder them from seeking support, ranging from fear of stigma and gendered barriers to the silence surrounding emotional struggles and the lack of safe, youth-friendly spaces.

Participants were asked to picture a future Pakistan where all young people feel supported in their mental health, and to think through how such a future could be achieved under the overarching themes of Governance & Policy, Advocacy & Awareness, Innovation & Digital Solutions, and Research & Community Engagement. Community-based engagement, youth activism, and peer-support networks emerged as meaningful avenues for connection and resilience. Participants further emphasised that simple, accessible practices, such as self-care routines, physical exercise, and creative expression, play a significant role in managing stress and supporting mental well-being.
