On June 30th 2025, the Taskeen team conducted a focused group discussion at HSA (Health Services Academy) with parents from various FDE schools to gain deeper insight into the challenges their children are facing and to explore meaningful ways to involve parents in the wellbeing program we have designed for students. The discussion provided a valuable opportunity to hear directly from parents about their concerns and expectations, helping us better understand the emotional and behavioral needs of students in the school setting.

During the session, we shared an overview of the program structure and explained how it aims to support students’ mental and emotional health. We introduced key components of the program, including sessions on developing interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, effective communication, and emotional awareness. We also explored strategies to increase parental involvement and identified factors that could motivate them to participate more actively in the program. Parents responded positively, showing interest and appreciation for initiatives that prioritize students’ overall well-being.
