Taskeen Health Initiative’s COO and Co-Founder, Dr. Taha Sabri visited Quetta, Balochistan on the 23rd and 24th of October 2023 to meet with important governmental stakeholders to discuss the mental health landscape of Balochistan. During this visit, Dr. Taha Sabri met with the Balochistan Health Secretary Asfandyar Kakar and Director General Health, Ali Nasir Baloch, facilitated by Shoukat Balushi, senior public health specialist at Ministry of Health Balochistan, to discuss the expansion of Taskeen’s operations in the province. Dr. Taha also visited Balochistan Institute Of Psychiatry And Behavioral Sciences (BIPBS) Quetta and met with the CEO Dr. Hazrat Ali Khan. Taskeen looks forward to working with the Balochistan Government to address the ongoing mental health crisis and provide psychosocial support services in the region.
