Taskeen Hosted a Focus Group with Adolescents to Strengthen their Involvement in WINGS: School Wellbeing Program

On 29th August 2025, Taskeen Health Initiative convened a User Advisory Council (UAC) with adolescents in Karachi to discuss mental health and well-being and to test the AI-powered WINGS chatbot which is an integral part of our WINGS: School Wellbeing Program. The session gave students space to talk about what they face day to day and to try the tool hands-on.

The chatbot was well received. Students found it easy to use, non-judgmental, and respectful of privacy, and many said they would choose a digital, self-paced option over a one-off workshop.

Their feedback pointed to clear priorities: make access and onboarding simpler, provide language and content options that match how students communicate, use more relatable design elements, and improve speed and conversation flow. They also asked for basic orientation support in schools so staff can help students get started.

These insights are guiding our next updates to WINGS as we prepare for a wider rollout in schools.
