Taskeen Hosted a Focus Group with Parents to Strengthen Involvement in WINGS: School Wellbeing Program

On 7th July 2025, Taskeen conducted a User Advisory Committee (UAC) session in Karachi with parents of children enrolled in schools under Developments in Literacy (DIL) schools. This session was designed to explore parental perspective regarding the challenges students face in their daily lives and to identify meaningful ways to involve parents in the WINGS: School Wellbeing Program to improve adolescent wellbeing.

During the discussion, the Taskeen team provided an overview of the program, outlining its core focus areas such as enhancing students’ wellbeing through sessions on taking care of themselves,  strengthening communication, and interpersonal skills.

Parents showed not only interest but also a strong willingness to participate actively in their children’s mental health journey. In addition to program details, the discussion also surfaced key themes around potential barriers to participation, such as attendance concerns, and highlighted areas where the program could be further strengthened.
