On 24 and 25th April 2025, as part of the Wellbeing Initiative for Nurturing Generations through Schools (WINGS) program, the Taskeen team, alongside its research partners from the Health Services Academy (HSA), visited several schools operational under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). Thes schools are located in various areas of Islamabad, including Shahzad Town, Chaak Shahzad, and Rawal Dam. These visits aimed to assess the feasibility for the potential implementation of the WINGS program in detail and the formation of User Advisory Councils UACs.
The visits served as highly productive, marked by a meaningful exchange of ideas. The FDE School management and Taskeen teams had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with each other and align on the key components of the WINGS implementation plan. As a next step, the school management will nominate two individuals to serve in the Users Advisory Council UAC. Once the nominations are received, the Taskeen team will proceed to share the detailed implementation plan to ensure timely preparation and effective execution of the initiative.
